Tensio gives you the motivation good intentions usually lack: you set yourself a goal and put money on it. Follow through and it costs you nothing. Miss your goal and the stake is forfeited to a non-profit organisation you chose yourself.

Pick a goal
From a catalog of verifiable goals, sorted by category and with search. No free text: “no sugar” could simply be claimed.
Set your stake
From €2.49 per missed check-in, no upper limit. You also decide who would get the money: an organisation, or your rival.
Check in
Daily, on weekdays or weekly. One tap starts the verification. If it succeeds, the day counts and your streak grows.
Tensio verifies
Every goal has a real verification source: Health Connect, usage data, GPS or GitHub. Claiming it isn’t enough.

Both cost the same. The difference is how you feel when you lose.
Donation: the gentle mode
Your stake goes to an organisation you support. The loss is softened: “at least it did some good”.

Anti-charity: the hard mode
Your stake goes to someone whose success hurts you: your rival. Whether the money does good there is beside the point: what stings is who profits from it.

Three things Tensio does differently
Tensio doesn’t take your word
It verifies. Every goal in the catalog has a real verification source, and under each goal you can see which one. Goals nobody could check don’t exist here.
The stake is real
No score, no badges. Miss a check-in and you really are charged, and the money really is gone. What was forwarded is public.
Your data stays with you
Health values, location and app usage times are evaluated on the device and immediately discarded. All that is stored is whether the day was done: yes or no.
Together it lasts longer
A streak nobody sees breaks more easily. Tensio makes it visible to people who know you.
Friends & leaderboard
Invite friends, compare your streaks and see in the leaderboard who is really sticking with it.
Shared goals
One goal, several people. The team streak counts as high as your weakest member. The stakes stay individual.
Open challenges
An undertaking with people you don’t have to know: join with a code, rated by your rate. Everyone stakes their own money on their own goal, and there is no shared pot.
Pause jokers
Three free per month, saveable up to nine. A joker pauses a due day, no reason and no proof needed. Never retroactive.
Stats & recap
A year heatmap shows every day you held and every one you broke. The monthly or yearly recap is shareable as an image.
So you don’t fail because you forgot
A missed check-in costs real money. So Tensio reminds you actively and takes the verifying off your hands if you want.

An evening reminder with a last call at 22:45, plus a learning variant that speaks up per goal once your usual check-in time has passed.
Verifies by itself in the evening
If you want, Tensio checks health goals in automatically once you’ve reached them. Sundays bring the weekly review.

“Tensio – Today” shows open check-ins and the stake currently on the line, without opening the app.
80% to your organisation, 20% to Tensio
The remaining cent goes to the organisation, never to us, using the same rounding as on the server.
The 20% cover operations and payment fees. What has actually been forwarded to organisations is public and shown as a total on the transparency page, including what is still outstanding.
